How DVC Rental Deals works

What the marketplace supports today

V1 centers on specific existing DVC reservation stays: exact resort and room details, dates, nights, points, and a buyer cash fee. Owners and renters can match around those confirmed stays—including bring-your-buyer / bring-your-seller situations—using a lower-fee, self-serve path. This is not a generic points-only booking service and not a Disney inventory search service.

Seller process

Owners list a confirmed reservation they control, not open-ended Disney inventory.

1. Sign in and list a specific confirmed DVC reservation (exact resort, room type/view, dates, nights, points, and buyer cash fee)—either by entering the stay facts manually or via Create Listing from Confirmation Email.
2. When using Create Listing from Confirmation Email: forward the original Disney/DVC confirmation as an attachment from your marketplace account email; successful eligible processing creates one private unpublished draft with importable reservation facts (not a public listing).
3. Review imported or entered stay facts, add missing points/pricing/disclosures, and explicitly publish when ready.
4. Optionally provide original Disney/DVC confirmation evidence for review when an existing-listing verification path calls for it (verification only—does not create another draft).
5. Complete seller identity/liveness verification where required for that listing path.

An evidence check does not prove sole legal DVC ownership and does not continuously re-verify the reservation after the point-in-time review.

Renter process

Renters shop exact stays and save a booking request—they do not create a Disney/DVC reservation merely by submitting the request.

1. Browse currently available confirmed-reservation listings with exact stay details and the buyer cash fee.
2. Open a listing and review the stay facts, fee, and any verification badge language.
3. Sign in and submit a booking request for that exact stay (the public Book Now path saves a request record).
4. Proceed to review, agreement handoff, and follow-up instructions before any final booking language is used.

The current public Book Now flow saves a booking request for review and handoff. It does not collect payment and does not create a Disney/DVC-confirmed reservation by itself.

What verification helps with

Trust signals stay high-level and consistent with the listing verification FAQ. Public copy does not expose private evidence, confirmation numbers, identity data, or internal fraud rules.

• Reservation confirmation evidence can be authenticated and compared with the listing facts under policy.
• Seller identity checks can strengthen the trust signal when that path applies.
• A listing badge is a point-in-time DVC Rental Deals assessment of evidence and/or identity status.
• Manual review may apply to exceptions; sensitive fraud rules and private evidence stay non-public.

What verification does not guarantee

• Sole legal DVC membership ownership or continuous live re-verification after the review moment.
• Guaranteed future reservation status, room assignment, availability, or Disney/DVC confirmation.
• Any guarantee of a fraud-free outcome, refund, payout release, or payment protection product.
• Direct platform access to Disney reservation or inventory systems.

Buyer-side Disney confirmation

When a reservation is placed or transferred into the applicable guest flow, a buyer may independently confirm the stay through the appropriate Disney / My Disney Experience process. DVC Rental Deals does not have direct Disney system access and does not perform live Disney API validation of inventory or reservations.

Not every booking request has already reached that stage. Independent confirmation applies when the reservation has been handled through the applicable guest workflow—not merely because a request record exists on this site.

Current agreement and payment boundary

After a booking request is saved, the product path continues into review, agreement handoff, and follow-up instructions. The current public booking-request flow itself does not:

• collect payment;
• provide escrow;
• guarantee refunds or payment protection;
• release seller payout; or
• guarantee completion of the Disney/DVC reservation.
